Tucked inside a historic palazzo in the heart of Ostuni, Galleria Valencienne is more than a boutique: it’s a poetic and refined concept store where French elegance meets the soul of Puglian craftsmanship, offering both men’s and women’s fashion along with a curated selection of jewelry.
Founded by Laurence Pineau Valencienne, a French collector who fell in love with the region after discovering a small ceramic whistle known as Cola Cola, the gallery celebrates objects filled with history and emotion. Each piece tells a story, echoing gestures and traditions passed down through generations.

Shopping in Ostuni? Galleria Valencienne has a great collection
The gallery is rooted in the spirit of the “Artefatti di Puglia” project, which aims to highlight the work of local master artisans while supporting the education of young creatives. The collection, ranging from ceramics and jewelry to clothing and design, objects blends heritage and contemporary flair, with deep respect for authenticity and reinvention.
Among the carefully selected makers, you’ll find artisans like Nicola Fasano (Grottaglie), as well as the iconic Cola Cola ceramic whistles, hand-sculpted by the same family in Gravina for four generations, with one member now serving as curator of the museum dedicated to this emblematic object.
With a warm, thoughtful atmosphere and a joyful approach to presentation, Galleria Valencienne invites visitors to discover a different side of craftsmanship and to take home a living piece of Puglia’s cultural soul.

“It’s no coincidence that I chose to open a concept store in Italy. I share with all Italians (it’s in their DNA) a deep sensitivity to fashion, beauty, originality, imagination, art, and above all: style,” says founder Laurence. “From an early age, I was immersed in this universe thanks to my mother, who went to school with Agnès B. in Versailles and whose creations we proudly wore as teenagers. That’s surely where my desire to blend art and fashion was born.”
You’ll find a refined selection of Laurence upcycled creations made from haute couture fabrics, pieces by local makers alongside elegant international labels rarely seen elsewhere in Puglia. Whether you’re looking for a dress that feels like summer, a ceramic piece with character, or something quietly luxurious to take home, Galleria Valencienne is where you’ll want to linger.
